Celebrate the 57th China National Day

57th China National day

The day after tomorrow is 1st October, the China National Day, it’ll be China 57th anniversary! As a tradition, tens of thousands of people will be garthered in Tiananmen Square, watching the grand national flag raising ceremony on National Day. Most of people will enjoy the happiness of that special festival.Happy birthday, China! Long live motherland !

Moon Cake

In last article, we learn the lengend of Mid-Autumn Festival in China. This year is on Oct 6th, will approach soon. So here, we will talk about how people celebrate that day.

On the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar(6th Oct. this year), the moon is full and it is time for the Chinese people to mark their Moon Festival, or the Mid-Autumn Festival. The round shape symbolizes family reunion. Therefore the day is a holiday for family members to get together and enjoy the full moon – an auspicious token of abundance, harmony and luck. (more…)

Mid-Autumn Legend-the moon fairylady

It is now the eighth month in the lunar calendar, the time for the Chinese to celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival. It is so called because it is in the middle of the eighth month, which is a full moon. We used to celebrate the full moon by fruit, moon cake, and children played their lanterns with neighbor. Why should people celebrate the moon in mid-Autumn? Celebrate the 21st Chinese Teacher Day

Today is the 21st Teacher Day, which is official set up by Standing Committee of  National People’s Congress in 1985. Since then, the Teacher Day in China is celebrated on the 10 th September.

Everybody who does something good, important, and valuable deserves a day in their honor. Teachers certainly are among the more deserving. This day honors those hard working, patient and understanding people whom we entrust our children to. Teachers mold our kids in a positive direction, and affect who they are and who they become. From Kindergarten through college, teachers are an important part of our children’s lives.

So let’s give ‘em their due. If you happen to be a teacher reading this, we personally offer our thanks, for the future of China is in your hands.
