Metal dome array wih plunger (actuator): In order to add the clicking fee of metal dome array and whole products and also increase the height, engineer have to add a extra plunger which will be 0.8-3.2mm, height 0.1-0.40mm (parameters can also be adjusted) on top of Mylar, similar like one section of actuator of keypad, so this kind of dome array is named as "plunger dome array", "dome array with plunger", or "dome array with actuator".
The normal dome array use 4mm, 5mm Circle or Oblong, 130gf-200gf metal dome, the height (thickness) will be 0.25-31mm. After add this plunger (actuator), the height (thickness) will be 0.35-0.6mm, and this pluger dome array is suitable for following situation:
- narrow space, small contact size, unable to use big diameter metal dome to add clicking feeling, or increase height
- After silicone keypad, pcb designed are fixed, found out keypad cannot touch metal dome directly, there's a distance between each other
- Need high click feeling but don't like big noice when pressing high force metal dome
- need extra sensor reflection

| We can use all our existed metal dome to make this dome array with plunger (actuator), whatever the diameter, force or height is. Further more, diamater, height of plunger can be made according to customers' requirements. Under some special condition, you need to consider the scale ratio between diamater of metal dome and plunger (actuator) and value should be not big than two. |
